Using Intank Pump W/ Stock Tank

has anyone put a intank pump into a stock tank(modding athe sending unit)?

this is on a 72 chevelle

I put a Tanks (tanksinc.com) in tank pump in my '64 Chevelle tank. The unit comes with a baffle tray and all. I didn't use the original pick up or sending unit. I'm using aftermarket gauges and it just so happened the new sending unit fit the existing hole perfectly...just had to drill some holes.

Thanks, that looks like it will work great. did you put the pump into the exsisting hole or did you cut a new hole for it?

I plan on doing a ls1 swap in my 70 chevelle but the gas tank is a sticking point right now

I have read that a ~95 caprice tank will fit with some mods. The stock intank option is better imo

That is a stock replacement tank that has been modified for an intank pump by Rock Valley. They can also make a tank completely out of stainless.
