Default G Body Grand national 3/8 return line?

Yes, I tried using search extensively...

I have an 84 GN. It has its original gas tank and sending unit assembly. This seems to be a setup that a lot of guys are switching to in other G bodies when going to an LS.

Everyone talks about running a 3/8" feed and return line, but the hard return line going into the sending unit is only 5/16? I would like to run 3/8, but what is the point if it necks down going into the unit?

Does anyone sell a sending unit with 3/8 return? Even on the racetronix unit it looks like the return is smaller in the picture.

Thanks everyone

most people are probably modifying sender by cutting/fitting 3/8 line. soldering it like plumbers do.

Mine has a new -8 braided line for the feed. The return uses the factory 3/8 feed. I'm not sure what my -8 is tied into in the sending unit but now you have my interest peaked.

I put a g body efi sending unit in my monte carlo for the ls swap. it had a 3/8 feed, 1/4" return and 5/16" vent. I modified mine so that the 5/16" is the return and the 1/4" is the vent.

I did the same thing, except instead of cutting a slot I drilled an 1/8" slot up towards the top.

Racetronix sending unit that has the -8 out, -6 return AN fittings. Then braided line to the rail and back since I used a truck regulator and am now moving on to an aftermarket regulator.
