Spectra GN tank
I've seen a few different ways to remedy this issue... You can either modify the sending unit as seen on the first page of the_merv's build thread:

So basicly raise vent tube in tank above fuel level? Mine is a racetronix 340lph unit with their sender set up for an fittings .my return is all ready 5/16 . Do I still need slit in return line ? I'm using corvette fiter/reg

The prob with mine was the filter was clogged so most of the fuel was going right back into the tank at high pressure. I put a wix filter on and a vent rollover valve on vent line. First filter was a pronto from speedway pos. now car runs mint . No fuel leaking out vent. Still fills kinda slow
