Question Ignition switch / starter wiring problem

Hey guys,

I am getting close to firing up my ls swap in a 66 GTO. Currently I am having some trouble with the wiring on the original car harness. As it is hooked up, we have power coming into the car, but the "Battery" light on the dash stays on, then when i move the switch the the on position, it goes off, and the radio, and under dash lights come on, but in the crank position they all go off which is normal, but only the battery light comes back on, and i am not getting 12v to any other wires. As it is currently wired, coming into the ignition switch i am getting 12v on the pink wire. Can anyone confirm if that is correct. I was thinking it should come in over the red, and the starter (crank position) should go out over the purple. It is the stock ignition switch for a 66 GTO.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Allan
