Yes I searched =) ... I found every thread of a swap from a non gen 3 car, and no sticky probably because it's too simple lol. I'm looking at swapping an ly6 into my ta. I know a decent amount from research but have some questions and want to know if I'm missing anything.

To ditch the vvt all I need is a cam swap and change the front cover correct? What timing cover do I need?

The cam sensor.. how do I modify my harness to reach the front of the engine? Can I use my ls1 sensor or need to find a gen 4 sensor?

I need to swap the crank or buy a converter box. And obviously an ls3 style intake.

Will I need a different valley cover/vent tubing?

Anything else I missed? Thanks for any info!

Its more than just the cover , you need the top gear and bolts for a 3 bolt cam [if that is what you are going to use] , and there are different gears for if you change cam sensors ,, My advise ,, talk to Texas speed ,, they are the go to guys ,, nice guys ,,, with the complete kit you need for a reasonable price , decide on the cam and computer you will be using to get the right parts
