A pick n pull came into my town a couple years ago and it changed everything. A local salvage yard started their own you pull it section and now we have a pretty good selection of parts for super cheap. I love it.

No updates, it's been so hot I haven't touched it recently.
The engine that was in it is a dodge red ram hemi out of a 1953 dodge coronet. 241 ci I think. It and the Plymouth push button transmission I would sell for $500.

On The Tree
I did a Crown vic front suspension in my 1950 Ford truck. I kind of wish I would have narrowed it, as it'd have given me more wheel choices. But it mostly fits, just need to get it running.

If it helps, I had talked with this guy a bit, who narrowed both the crossmember and his rack I believe. IIRC, he marked it, maybe cut it, and had some shop do the welding.

It finally cooled down enough I was willing to work in the garage and got a bit done on the CV crossmember. Bought an 87 mustang rack, measured it and chopped 4 11/16" out of the middle of the crossmember.
Mocked it up and everything seems like it should work well.
Now to weld it up and modify the front of the frame to accept it!

Today I got my crossmember back from being welded.
Also went and got my wiring harness so I can start pulling it apart to make it stand alone.
Also, tomorrow I am going to pick up a trailer for $200 that I am going to store the body on this winter while I completely redo the front and rear suspension. I never thought this would turn into a frame off, but you never know what's going to happen.
