Belt line question

I am using the GM low mount alternator bracket p/n 12563327 which I think is from a F body v-8 application. I have two questions for you guys.

With using the low mount alternator bracket will the harmonic balancer and water pump pulleys from my donor truck motor still work? Or am I going to have to swap over to the F body balancer and water pump to retain a proper belt line. Next, When drilling out the blank boss on the block for the new alternator bracket, how deep should I drill this hole?

You will need to change the water pump and balancer to line up with the F body alternator location. The truck setups are further out then the F body setup.
