LS3 into C3 Started a pretty simple swap. A crate LS3 into a '69 T-Top. I was surprised to find no intake piston to valve clearance with the cam I added. All I can figure it that is has a very fast ramps and a lot of duration at .0300" or so. Here's the specs: Duration @ .050 (Int/Exh): 227/238 , Valve Lift (Int/Exh): .583"/.600", LSA/ICL: 112/108. Sixteen small notches later, I think all is well now.
Very nice. I am also working on a 69 Corvette LS project. Can I ask what you what bellhousing, flywheel, clutch and pilot bearing (part numbers) that you used with your transmission (T56?).

I have not bolted the clutch up yet so these pieces are not verified (at least by me) to be a functional solution but what I have are:
The trans is a modified Viper version of the T56 from D&D. It bolts in where a Muncie or GM style TKO 600 would fit. The bellhousing is Quick Time 6036 (LS to Muncie) I believe it is like a standard gen one bell housing except it is about .29" shorter to get the pilot shaft further into he crank. It looks like this gives the option of using either pilot bearing position in the crank. I'm using the large diameter GM 12557583 pilot bearing. The flywheel is a (flat LS) Mcleod 460530. The clutch is just a typical 11" gen one style pressure plate.
I should have everything fitted within about a week. I'll update the success of the combination when I have it all together. Feel free to add a shot of your project here.
