Default vette manifolds on fox body

Hi, I done a lot of searching and can't find a yes or no. Will the vette manifolds fit a fox car? I'm using AJE crossmember and mounts by the way. I hear the truck ones fit [I have those] and that the vette ones work a fair amount better. Car is a Fairmont with manual steering, manual brakes.
thanks!

Which Corvette? LS1, LS2 and LS6 engines will have the same shape, but I am pretty sure the LS7, LS9 and LSA engines have a different bolt pattern or port shape if I remember right.

are you building a turbo? if not why not just buy headers.

The LS1,2,6 manifolds. I have the 799 heads on a 5.3 L33 [no turbo plans for now] As far as headers go it sounds like not a lot of power to be had for my build and to get a set of Dynatechs and have them coated would be close to $900.00. I'm way over budget now and being a street car I'm considering manifolds for durability and noise factor. The "sleeper" factor I guess. Seems as somebody here must have tried them by now. Tempted to buy a used left one to try first.
Thanks

Where do you live, I have 2 sets. I have kooks on my car 1 7/8th and it's a sleeper. These motors wake up with headers and cam unlike like the 302 does

Well - the cam part is covered. I'm in central Iowa. There's some new "take offs" on ebay for $75.00 a piece. Of course you have to take every thing ya read with a bit of salt - but I'm reading where the smaller, mildish motors don't get a big gain with headers. Current thoughts are manifolds till a port job might be in the cards. Basically mine will be cam only and carbed. Still - just seems like SOMEONE would have tried the vette ones on a fox.

LS1/6 are the same. LS2 and LS3 are the same. LS9 and LS7 are the same.

can you weld? my first set of headers where 10 years ago, 351W for a mustang. You cut the flanges off even, weld on new LS1 flanges and bingo your done. One of the first to show that 351W ports line up 100% perfect with LS1's. To me a small cam, carbed car that your "building" is a waste of $ to spend on stock manifolds.

Yeah I could probably handle the welding if needed. It's not 100% about the price either. I've seen some dyno comparisons on the web that don't make headers come shining thru by any means is part of it. where do you get a good set of flanges and at what cost I wonder? Kinda suprising no one seems to have tried the vette manifolds here though.

flanges are usually around the 50-75 range. I have done 2 sets like that before I went to the Kooks. So if you one day come across a set of 351W headers for a Mustang cheap enough it might be worth the effort. used sets of LS1 Mustang headers have popped up on here every once in a while as they start to become more common. I think steering shaft being the only problem. Just remember a few things. you can replace the shaft if the stock joints get in the way, like a Flaming River, the column itself can be moved around and dropped down. Under the dash it has 4 bolts. I used spacers on these 4 studs to drop the column down about 1/2". Worked perfect. I have rec it a few times to guys who where pleasantly surprised.

Thanks! It's a possibility for sure. I like the idea of using a used set. I don't know much about windsors - do they have round exhaust port or do you cut header tubes back to the round port? I found flanges - not too pricey I suppose.

I cut both sets right at the flange. the BBK's where more rectangle and just took a bit to heat and hammer out. the other set was closer to round (forgot what brand) just remember if you do go that way the LS1 flanges are available different sizes. I think I used 1 3/4" flange. 302/351 heads are more rect exhaust port. Just another option for you.
