LS6 swap in mopar a body dodge demon 71
Hey guys how's it going.
I want to share my ls project with you all and see what you think.
I'm from Israel and I have a 1971 dodge demon for about 10 years. Fund it in a guy's yard and build it from scratch.
The car had a 360 stroke to 408 and put around 450 hp.
Transmission was 727 manual valve body. The engine I bought from Blu print engines, and transmission from TCI.
it was all good for a while but the engine was not so friendly and because of the camshaft temperature it was impossible to drive with air conditioning and it was taking a lot of gas.
I have decided to go and switch to an advanced technology. I thought about a 6.1 hemi but it was too much experience and it doesn't have a good aftermarket support. So I moved to LS.
I bought LS6 with 6 speed manual transmission. A new computer and harnest from Texas speed and I asked them to tune it for a little bit more than 405 hp to the 430 hp area.
I have pulled out the old engine and transmission and about to make the swap next week.
I would love to hear what you guys think.
P.s
Because I care about the looks of the engine bay and I know the modern LS do not look as good as the classic one's I built a custom cover to the intec manifold and to the coils. Also I made a cover to the radiator..
