Default LSX foxbody fuel setup

Hey guys, I'm at the point now in my build to start hooking up my fuel system and was wondering how the plumbing of the fuel lines should run with aftermarket billet fuel rails. I plan on making between 450-550hp and was going to go with a single feed and return style setup. Keep in mind the car is NA. I am running an aeromotive stealth 340 (in tank) fuel pump, using the stock fuel tank. Attached is a diagram I created as to how I wanted to run my fuel lines. Is this the correct way you guys are running them with a single feed setup? With the FPR mounted after the rail? Thanks for the help!

I was planning on running an aeromotive FPR as well if that makes any difference.

I use the corvette regulator/filter that has the built in return. Its preset at 58psi, this way I only have one line to the car. This way the return line is very short. Most Mustang guys have it setup this way. very easy. I run #6 line and have no problem with fuel del

provides plenty of fuel, I run a 427 and run hard in the 1/4. When I datalog my runs, my 42's are not even close to being maxed out. 6an is a good size to keep pressure up.

I am doing a swap on my 93 4 cylinder coupe. I already have a 340 in the tank and plan to use the stock fuel line with the corvette filter regulator. The stock lines come up on the passenger side so I think it will be perfect. Motor is a lq4 with a 228R cam.

Any issues please let me know. Thanks and great posting. Keep it going for us rookie swappers...

**** the corvette filter / regulator, Ben there done that my aem pump would not drop below 80psi, I ened up going to the aeromotive 340 pump, With sn95 housing because it has a bigger return nipple,- 6an feed line to a aermotive filter half way up the car front, from that up to a aermotive regulator, I used the factory metal feed line as a return line, works great I have plenty adjustability on the fuel pressure, the engine has made 465rwhp on motor and I have 125 shot on top, it has trap 108mph in the 1/8

nice setup using the SN95 housing, I have the same thing as a spare, with an fittings welded on to it. You might have had a problem with your filter. I've had this setup for now over 10 years in my Mustang with no problems. oh and with nitrous I run deep in the single digits. SN95 housing also has 3/8ths pickup as the 79-93 has 5/16" pickup line.

this is where I got mine. great deal as by the time you buy a hanger, pump and then weld AN fittings you can spend more then what they sell it for.

With the power you are making. 255 intank with stock filter and lines.
Then add a y block from the feed to the rear of the lines then a line out the front of each rail to the regulator and a line to the stock return line.

No reason to spend more than that this will provide years of trouble free service. My car went 9.50 with that setup.

Ended up going with the sn95 fuel pump hanger which had -8an (feed) and -6an (return) male ends welded onto it. Ran the -6an return line up the passenger side of the car through the sub frame connector and through the passenger side front fender into the engine bay. I ran the -8an feed to an Aeromotive fuel filter (10 micron), and ran the line along the side of the sub frame connector on the passenger side as well since there was no other way to tuck the filter away due to it's size. I used an Aeromotive fpr which is mounted in the center of the firewall on the return line which was suggested by multiple vendors/tech guys I've spoken with. I'll attach a few pics that I took of how the setup looks, hopefully they're clear enough for you guys to see if anyone is interested in running a similar setup in the future on their fox/ls swap. Thanks for the help fellas!

Here is a few pics I was able to take of how the lines are routed. Ended up routing them the same way as I had originally posted.

Just remember that there is a possibility at a drag event they will frown upon having anything fuel related mounted on a firewall, its illegal.

yeah, that was definitely in question when I was routing everything. We'll see what I end up doing with the car. Worst comes to worst I could probably get some fittings to mount the regulator to the fuel rail.
