Im not even going to ask, i still have all the hard parts rmvb, gears, converter all of the major expenses i will only be out whatever has to be replaced plus a rebuild kit. just going to chalk it up to a lesson learned...

plus the new transmission that i installed has all of the same stuff and is on loan for the rest of the season. did i mention that my friends are awesome!

Bingo, I didn't have the heart to tell him and cut short his celebration...at least his buddy can clean out his converter, which leaves only one converter headed to the scrap bin.

the old "bad" converter is back in the car so i guess i can only hope for the best. the burnt stuff looked like black clutch material just a little heavier than atf. I will post a picture here soon.

I will be pulling the pan off shortly to check out the fluid and try and seal up this pan leak. i also forgot to change the pickup for the filter, anyone had troubles with using the std pickup in a deep pan? i guess there is a possibility that the filter could fall off of the pickup or the tube fall out of the trans since the bottom of the pan is what keeps that from happening.
