7.5 carrier please help

7.5 carrier please help Can i put a posi carrier out of a up to a 92 s10 into my 79 monte carlo 7.5 rearend. If not which one can i use or what should i use. I know that there is something i can use without dumping alot of money in something ive never done.
The gears (2 or 3 series) have to match the carrier series.
If the 92 S10 is a gov-lock, skip it and get a real posi.

Just weld it up then,you will just break whatever Vega 7.5" stuff you will scrounge up.
There are a lot of variations in axle splines,pinion bearings,posi units,2,3,4 series carriers.Its just too much of a crap shoot to pin point exactly where to look,you will just have to pull some units and see what matches up with your housing.

An Eaton is a quality "posi" available in 26 spline.
