lsx in a XLR
Your car is F'ing awesome, by the way, sir.
So I want a red 04 with black interior......
Would like to poke around one of these. Read the tune.
Although the Northstar is cool, an LS1 or ??? Would make a ton more hp.
If, maybe a big If, the PCM was an 04 PO1, the swap could be pretty easy.
Very intriguing.
Ron
There wasn't one avail for an 04.
I'm a tuner. With an electronics background. Stool sounds like a fun challenge.
Good luck! I get to Palm Springs from time to time. My dad lives there.
My guess is that the BCM needs to play nice with the ECM and when you told the ECM it was a diff vin, it wouldn't crank.
I'll see if I can find the two files.
Well,I can find the 09 CTS-V file, but not a supercharged 07 XLR-V file.
At any rate, not really very similar.

Corvettes are also a Y body, so I think that is totally worth a shot.
What's another $100 right?
:-)
Are you using the new Beta HPT or the old version? The new allows segment swaps although I've not played with that at all.
I don't have hpt yet either a friend of mine is the tuner at precision automotive
And we are using his stuff but I do want a copy for my self...
Also am I correct that hpt does not support full reflash to change programs?
But you have to use 2 credits to license the program you wish to install.
Have you visited the HP Tuners forums yet?

I hoping to have my own copy of htp soon
So I can look around a bit more the info seems to be limited if the your not an owner of the program... but the forms seem promising
As far as swapping segments, you can only do that within the same operating system. And the XLR operating system appears to be unique from what I can tell.
If, writing a C6 operating system into your PCM works, you would be able to then convert it to a 2 bar speed density tune and eliminate the MAF (if you are running one) and be able to handle boost nicely.
Lots of iff's though.
I see a bunch of different Cam DTC's. So if you set 2, 3 & 4 to no error reported, it won't start huh?
Is the N* crank reluctor 58 tooth just like the LS3?
I looked up the Sky ECU. It's E69. I don't think the ecotec had variable cam timing? At any rate, those are pretty simple cars compared to the XLR. Might not have nearly as many do-dads to control.
I'd guess a custom harness and ECU were used.
Didn't GM build a V8 just for fun? I remember seeing it in the various magazines.
I wish I had the file and a log to show you I'll see if I can get it here I a day or two from my guy
I thought the sky's were e37 someone has to know the secret and be willing to share
Basically I wanna trick it into setting corealation codes for the crank and cam and the those off I think is the route I'm going... I did join the hpt forum and am looking through it I'd like to chat will bill from hot he seems pretty smart ......
