Has anyone had any success with using this crossmember on a 6l80? My tunnel is already modified and a G8GT pan addresses the pan hang, at least to a degree. Just wondering about angles.
I'm using it with a 6L80 along with Holley's 1" spacer for the T56. Been swapping rear springs and adjusting the rear upper and lower LCA's so don't have my angles finalized but it looks good and no vibrations so far.
That's encouraging. I have adjustable upper and lower arms as well, should make things easier to get workable. I'm coming from a T56 so have spacers; the trans-to-driveshaft angle was my concern but it sounds like it'll be ok. Thanks
Just wondering if anyone has used the forward mounts with the Hooker turbo manifolds on both sides. I searched but came up with very little on the 68 - 72 cars. I also called Holley and couldn't get an answer for sure they will fit. Pictures would be fantastic if available. Thanks for any help.
The Hooker turbo manifolds were designed after the development of the Hooker Blackheart A-body swap systems and the opportunity to test fit them post-development has not come about. There may be another forum member here who has used them in the configuration you’ve asked about, so I think your asking in the right place.
Todd, thanks for your work on these cars. I have your forward mounts, oil pan and crossmember in the car already. I am really hoping somebody has some experience with this. They have the potential to save some time and money.
My praises to your system here as well and I tell everybody with an A-body that'll listen that the Holley way for a swap is best. I have your forward mounts, Blackheart headers and the 302-2 oil pan and I'm very happy with all of it.
I'm always happy to see positive reports from users of Hooker Blackheart swap system components such as yourselves. It makes all the time and effort that I put into developing these systems seem worthwhile.
I'll second that as well. 65 Chevelle with an LS3 and zero issues. It made the swap enjoyable and easy and I love it everytime I bang through the gears. Now if you all could make a crossmember for the TKO's the world would be perfect. Thanks for all your work on it Todd. It is very much appreciated.

Even though I can't say 100% yes, I've had them installed with the rear offset mounts and there is plenty of clearance for the forward offset. Don't see where they would cause a problem.

Thanks. That is the kind of thing I was hoping to hear.
I've got the Holley forward mounts, Blackheart stainless mid length headers with connector pipes, Holley mid mount front setup and transmission cross member in my 70 Chevelle with a LY6 and 4L80E so far everything has fit very good. Had to massage the floor pan for the transmission but not too bad.

Good morning guys new member here came to this site on a recommendation been scrolling through the many pages of information on here for an A body LS swap, mine is a 70 Malibu factory air 4spd car
From my research I've decided to go with the Holley forward mounts and the T56 crossmember my question is I'm wanting to stick with an OEM accessory Drive I have an lq9 6.0 truck motor at home but I would like to run low profile car accessories with that being said from my research it looks like an LS1 is a slam dunk as far as accessory mounts go providing additional room for the steering box on the lh side and i would also like to utilize the air conditioning compressor and its Factory location has anybody utilized this exact setup and can confirm that everything will fit using the Holley forward mounts I found a few posts but not exactly what I was looking for so I figured I might ask again I apologize if I missed it where it's been covered before thanks in advance

The LS1 F-body alternator location crashes into the steering box on an A-body. Your best bet is to use your truck alternator with the Holley high mount alternator. I would also swap your balancer to a Corvette balancer. This will tuck all the accessories closer to the block and give you more room for radiator and fans.
