I guess why I’m asking is earlier in the thread, Toddoky mentioned being able to use the stock crossmember to install a 4L80E, with an LS and the forward bias engine mounts. https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversio...l#post19028274

But with forward bias mounts, how does that translate to bellhousing centerlines vs the stock SBC/BBC? I have a 72 Chevelle getting a BBC and 4L80E, that I want to set in the car for storage in the meantime. It would be great not to have to buy a crossmember yet to get that done.

Test fit it outside of your Chevelle. Take a few measurements of the length of the crossmember and the available width between the frame rails. Then "imagine-eer" it and you will get a good idea if it will work. I used the original TH350 crossmember with the 4L60E in my 70 El Camino and it all fit perfectly. Left, right - dead on the centerline with the Holley forward bias engine mounts. And the driveline angle to the differential was good.

What non-flexible dipstick Ali’s everyone using with a 4l89? I have Holley forward mounts, flow master headers. Prefer budget friendly.

I used a stock truck dipstick and shortened the tune and dipstick so it is partially hidden behind the passenger side head, yet still accessible.
