1971 Monte Carlo swap Well I've been a member for a few, I did swap my other MC but it was completely stock and I sold it. On to this one, another 71. Parts I already have are msd, edelbrock dual plane intake, quick fuel 750cfm carb, I'm gonna use my 350 trans, 5.3 from a 2004 Tahoe, other little things like holley brackets and hookr adapter plates. I'm gonna go mostly stock this time around also but.... I do want to do a cam, headers setup as well. That's where I'm lost, any suggestions. BTW this will be a cruiser not a racer, but I do want to be able to drive fast too.

well follow the a-body guys(chevelle) that be a big help for you to get it in there. If your more cruiser why not go with overdrive tranny and the injection? Small cam and some rear gears be fun.

Yeah I have a decent rear end already, I just don't wanna put any money into another trans. I had this one rebuilt not long ago and it's running great. I didn't wanna do FI because of the added cost vs carb, and I'll definitely be doing a cam. That's where I need the help, I know nothing about cams.
