Default Cranking but not starting

Sorry for the long post. I'm at a standstill:

Currently putting an LS with a 4L60 in my 65 Nova.

Harness is hooked up and my PCM is reprogrammed (VATS disabled etc).

Car is cranking but not starting: sprayed carb cleaner in the intake and got a rumble.

1. Tested my injector wires by using a noid light, they are pulsing.

2. Did a test on my injectors by connecting 12v and a ground to the injector, heard a click.

3. Removed spark plug wire from spark plug and put a spare plug on wires to see if it would fire, yes I'm receiving fire to all except #2.

4. Checked my spark plugs to see if they are wet with gas or smell like gas; NOTHING.

5. Grounds from my PCM are grounded to frame, should they be grounded to engine? Does it matter?

Default No start

I'm with the above, sounds fuel related. If the engine has been setting for a long time the injectors could be clogged. Search "injector cleaning" for some home cleaning ideas.

Are you getting fuel pressure at the fuel rail, do you hear the fuwl pump prime or start pumping.

Check to make sure you are getting power to the relay and pump.

The pump is priming. Purchased a fuel pressure tester; no pressure at all, gauge did not move.

If you can hear the pump coming on, and still have no pressure, then you're leaking somewhere. If it's an intank pump, which I'm guessing it is, because you'd see an exterior leak, you've probably blown off the hose between the pump and pick up tube in the sender in the tank.

If its a corvette one. Make sure you have the feed and return lines on the correct ports of the filter, else you well not have fuel pressure.

bczee, yes I'm running a corvette filter/regulator; I had the supply and return connected to the wrong ports. Thanks to all that replied.

It actually happens a lot. For some reason there are tons of images on the internet marked incorrectly.

the center 3/8" line is the feed and the 5/16" is the return correct? Or am I remembering it wrong?

cryppie, glad I could help in the isolation and fix of your problem. Don't ask how I know about this problem.. LOL....

Yeah.. return port is the center one and the feed is the outer port.. logic would see that be opposite.. but we have big dollar engineers to figure out and design these things for us..

That is stupid the way they designed it. I always remember that the feed line is the big one and the return is the smaller one.
