Stiffening up throttle body spring?
thanks
There's a few different TB springs any they're color coded:
Color-coded springs used on GM throttle bodies are: blue (?), brown (early F-bodies), and orange (trucks). The brown spring is the softest one, followed by blue, the orange spring is the stiffest, and was used on trucks.
This info is what I've came across...

Option 1, grab your good pliers and coil the spring around tighter. Gloves highly recommended in case it slips off and catches you.
Option 2, buy/swap a newer throttle body.
Of course springs can be added....it's up to you to figure out how.
It will probably involve adding some metal the the existing cam to affix a spring too, and finding somewhere on the engine to attach the other end, but it is most certainly doable.
BBK LS intake albeit with a Ford TB ( I'd used it with the carb intake/elbow previously, but had to do a similar spring fitment )
My cable pulls this blade from the underside of the cam, can't find any pics of it fitted and I recently changed to DBW anyway
I had to weld both a different cam to the throttle spindle, then add the piece to attach the springs to. They're just the typical Moroso or similar throttle return springs, cut and shortened slightly.
You could also add a spring to the pedal, but it would be much safer to do it all at the throttle blade itself.
