Default Engine is In!

The weather got pretty nice the last 3 days, made some good progress. Got the 400 trans out, the new Holley frame stands in, very nice parts by the way.
Dropped the new motor in, found a good spot for the ecm behind the left headlight area alot of room there and can still mount the washer bottle in the stock location. Modified the a/c mounting bracket so I can use the original compressor. Ordered up a smaller diameter P/S pulley from Dirty Dingo. Now I need to run my new fuel lines, went with plastic lines so I need to route them carefully. I was on over achiever this weekend!

Good to see you putting the new Hooker engine brackets to use. Did you order the new billet aluminum pulley from Dirty Dingo, or the plastic pulley they also offer?

Yes, they do.I came across it on their website while researching smaller pulley options for the truck power steering pump. The best option I've found and validated to be legitimate is to use the PS pulley off of a 1993-95 3.4L V6 F-body car. It's a steel pulley and much more affordable than the DD billet piece...I bought one on eBay for 30 bucks.

Thanks for the info! I want to run electric fans on the car, what is a good oem type option? I remember someone on here using a Windstar van fan setup and also an F body setup. I should probably just take some measurements and hit the wreaking yard. Would like a duel set-up ecm contolled.

I'm not much help with fan set-ups as I never finish out my mock-ups that far to ever deal with them. We have a lab tech that completes the assembly of the Holley LS swap project vehicles and I know he always uses new aftermarket parts for things of that nature.
