TCC Break and Vss question Hello, I'm swapping a 5.3L engine into a 1980 camaro and had a few questions about the TCC and the VSS. I have my wiring harness down to the needed wires and plugs, but my question is I have a sensor hook up for both the TCC and the VSS and I also have a wire for each coming out of the computer, do I just use the wire that comes out of the computer or do I also need the sensor plug?? Any feedback would be appreciated,

Welcome to LS1tech, I think your confusing them with each other a bit. You will have a speed sensor that sends an input to the PCM and you will have a speedo output off of the PCM that will operate your speedometer if you have an electric speedo. You need both unless you are T-tapping off of the speed sensor to drive both the PCM and speedo.
The TCC is not a sensor, it is the control to torque convertor and the other wire off of the PCM will normally go to a newer style brake switch so lockup will release when you press on the brake pedal. Look up some of the wiring on LT1swap. They will have what you are looking for.

th350 is mechanical speed output. I'm assuming you bought a dakota digital pass through pulse generator? This would allow you to still use your cable drive speedometer and offer a electronic VSS output to send to the PCM.

Yes I bought a speed pulse generator, it comes with two wires a ground and a output for the Pcm, do I connect this out put to the sensor plug? And if so there is two wires going to that plug,

I know this doesn't pertain to this topic but I tried to install my th350 transmission today on my engine and found that it hits the torque converter and is about 1/2 an inch from touching the back of the engine?? I honestly don't understand why this is happenings?
Sounds like your torque converter isn't seated completely or you've got your spacer bolted on incorrectly. You bought a spacer kit right? If you've got a dished flexplate then the spacer installs on the outside. If you've got a flat flexplate then the spacer mounts between the flexplate and crank snout.

Also, which flexplate/spacer combo are you using?
Torque converter must not be all the way seated then. sometimes they can be a hassle. Just keep spinning and pushing it in. You will feel it when it slips in the last bit.
Your torque converter slides over the splines on the transmission input shaft. If it is not completely pushed on then it will hit the flexplate before your transmission bell is seated against the engine block.
You previously stated your torque converter hit before the transmission was up against the engine. If your now stating that the transmission is now bolted to the engine and torque converter doesn't quite reach the flexplate then you simply pull it out a hair and bolt it up.
