Default A4 to m6 swap computer question

Hi I hope I'm asking this in the right spot. I am looking to do a a4 to m6 swap in my 99 t/a. I'm trying to by a donor car and just swap Trans out and the resell the donor as an a4. My question is is it possible or how down you change the m6 computer to work with the a4? Can it just be reflash ed or what is needed? By the way I am really attached to my car that's why I haven't just sold it and bought one and I'm trying to keep costs low

You tune it in the trans tab.

I'm actually in the same boat as the op.

I was under the impression that there were some underlying problems with just tuning an auto pcm for a manual.

I have an '03 blue green pcm from an express van (4l80e) & I was thinking about grabbing an older manual f body 0411 instead.

Aren't there idle issues and whatnot tuning the auto pcm for manual?

Might depend on how it's done. The PCM isn't different between an auto and manual. My 411 came from a tahoe and I had it reflashed as an 02 F body with manual trans.

Clutch Anticipation Switch needs to be wired in, it helps with the tune but I've never needed it and no issues.
