Default Clicky injector

First things first. This swap is a 2004 tahoe 4.8l into a volvo 240. We used the stock harness (I did the wiring) and it seems to run fine.

But now I'm running into a strange problem, if we start the car and then shut it off, then turn it back on but don't start it, the number 3 injector just starts clicking away. Probably clicks every 1/2 second or so. And I know is the injector because if I unplug it the clicking stops. I have tried 2 other pcm's with the same result.

I don't know of any codes yet, I didn't have hp tuners with me when I went to work on it. So what could be going on with it?
Thanks in advance
Jeremy

You are positive it is just the one injector? I would go through the wiring and make sure its not getting grounded some where before the ecu. Also, verify the resistance of all the injectors.

Yes, it's just that one injector. Unplug it and the clicking stops, same with 2 other pcm's and a couple different injectors.

Why are you worried about this?

Just turn the key off and be done with it.

Never seen or heard of one doing that, but I would suspect that if it is indeed pulsing, it could fill the cylinder with fuel and hydrolock the engine, I had a leaking injector do that once, was a bad deal.

clean it? Plenty of videos online showing how, just jump 12v and shoot some wd40 in it and see if it changes any.

It is shooting fuel when it does this, I have a gage on the rail and it goes down with each click.

I don't think it's a dirty injector either since we tried a couple different injectors with the same result.
