280z LSA build
280z LSA build Starting yet another build. Finishing up the '65 C10, making progress on the '65 Continental, and now this. My buddy is abandoning a 280z project we started a few years ago. I got out of the Army and moved back to Austin, and he's getting stationed overseas, so i'm buying it and finishing it. Car was originally a 1jz swap when we first picked it up.
Has a 6.0/t56/single turbo in it now, all of which will be going in our '72 Camaro SS.
He already did the 8.8 IRS swap, but once I get it in the shop and on the lift I'm going to take a look at it and might end up changing it.
I still have the Weld RTS's off the turbo 5.3/t56 Volvo Wagon I built a few years ago, so they will go on this car. Along with a new set of black CR1's that I've had in the shop waiting for a project to go in.

I mean once it's done, it'll be a handful to drive. I did a 350/m22 swap into a '77 280z many years ago and that car would spank you really bad if you were not on top of your ****. They rotate very easily

I need to figure out a front end. They pretty much built a full frame under the car, so the stock k member won't work. It's tacked on the frame rails just to move it around for now.
8.8 is actually a lot further finished than I thought. I just need to reinforce it a little.
I'm going to strip it down and prep it for paint (white) and then go from there.

I have no idea what these things are worth but here's a 280z LS1 project that's been listed on CL for several weeks, if anyone is interested.
