Regular cab Colorado 6.2! I picked this 2007 Colorado in October with the intention of it being a project truck. I had been looking for one for awhile, and knew I needed a 2007 or newer (firewall clearance for V8). I think I got a great deal on this one, I paid $2500, it came from Virginia and it's super clean. Here it is the day i picked it up:

Found a set of 20" Silverado rims on craigslist. They had some scratches and pitting on them so I had them soda blasted, and the hubs bored out to fit the Colorado 100mm hub. I painted them graphite. I'd like to find some chrome rims for it this winter.

Then tear down began about 2 weeks after I bought it. I got the drivetrain out and sold. I stripped the interior out also, I was replacing the interior anyway, and this way I didn't have to mask anything for paint.

I got extremely lucky and found a wrecked 2012 Colorado locally with 20,000 miles. So I got the everything else i needed for the interior out of it. The carpet, headliner and everything are like new!

I used all OEM gm harnesses. This is every harness for a 2x4 2012 5.3 extended cab, with every option available. Engine, cab, chassis, doors, headlight, dash, and battery cables.

The transmission came from a 2012 5.3 Colorado. Trans has 19,000 miles on it. Converted to 2x4, 4l65e 5 pinion carrier, beast sunshell, and raybestos z pak.
When I saw the title I thought "man, who would waste time with a Colorado?" but you've changed my mind. This is really cool, strong work.
