Can someone tell me how these lines are supposed to be?
Theres a thin red plastic disc, one on each side of the thicker plastic disc. I'm just putting this together for the first time and I don't know the correct orientation or what purpose these things serve.

I would cut the red things off. The tan plastic things slide over the connection to hold the e-clip secure.

You could also buy adapters to run standard line to the transmission
