Default L76 in 02 silverado questions

Hi guys, New to the forum and im looking to swap in an L76/4l80E in my 02 silverado half ton..

I got this motor and trans for a steal and i want to put it in my 02 silverado 1500 with the old doggish 4.8 that now has 205k on it.

Looking at the differences in the Gen 4 motors this seems like more work than i initially figured. Would it be better for me to remove the heads and intake and use 243 heads and my stock truck intake from the 2002 rather than the headache of using the newer ecu and dealing with the active fuel management?

Also, will the block have the same mounting points for my engine brackets or will i have to purchase or Fab custom ones?

Any help is appreciated.

Don't forget the reluctor wheel on the crank will need to be changed to a 24t instead of a 58t that's on it now.
