Motech L86 Gen V first start!

It was a great day. We mounted the engine in and did a test fire. This engine sounds so awesome! We have the BCM wired in along with the brake pedal position sensor. Next will be mounting the jeep power steering pump. The transmission is a 6L80E and is wired up as well.

Body is on and the engine is wired up. We did a quick test fire and it fired up just fine. Tomorrow we are doing exhaust and we hope to be driving it early next week. We built a power steering bracket and will use the jeep factory pump. BCM, Pedal sensor, and a few other tidbits installed as well.

We fitted our radiator in and its a tight fit. This engine takes up a bit more space but it will fit.

We got the radiator and hoses in today. We will test drive it for the first time Monday! I converted the engine harness for the swap and everything seems to function. I wired in purge and the fuel pressure sensor so it will be emission legal. The throttle did not work at first but it ended up needing the transmission plugged in to function.
