Default 1984 chevy C10 LS1 Dakota digital VHX system

I recently wired up Dakota digital VHX gauge system in my 1984 chevy C10. I've installed the bus interface module to the VHX kit. I can't start the setup B/C I have code J,F,C flashing on the module and it's not communicating with the ecm. Everything was working fine with ecm before I started the installation. I am I forgetting something. Need help!!

Do you have a good IGN power and ground going in to the BIM module? Did you hook the BIM directly into the harness OBD2 connector or did you use a Y cable (splitter)?

Here troubleshooting section (at the end) from the BIM module manual (if you don't have it handy)-
