1st time swap advice
1. mount engine and trans
2. fuel system
3. drive shaft
4. exhaust
5. radiator/cooling system
6. electrical wiring/pcm mounting and tuning
7. burnouts!!
anything I'm missing? should I approach things in a different order or does this seem like a good plan? other than that, the only concern is what motor mounts to use? I'm prolly gunna use something from dirty dingo. any other swap advice is appreciated.

I'm not familiar with this Caddy's frame, but a regular rear sump oil pan was not going to work with my frame/firewall/floor would have had the motor up to high, a front sump like from gto may have worked, but I'm pretty sure it would have put the motor to far foward.
It will be a very rewarding swap because you will find yourself building the majority of the "swap parts".
There's very little "stock aftermarket " for old Caddy's, much less putting modern drive trains in them, witch also makes them alittle more "uniqe" good luck with your build
You have a good list and number 7 is my favorite.
I believe that year has an X frame with a honking front engine crossmember. It's rear sump but you might have to move the engine rearward to get it to fit down in the chassis.
