You can use it, it can be bolted together, choose a converter for the trans, then use a flat 4L80E flexplate with the 0.400" aluminum spacer.
Just tell whoever tunes your pcm so they can make it all work together. PWM was introduced mid-94, so chdck the front pump, behind the converter, before final assembly or the baseline tune.

I did exactly this, with the 4L60E from a 97 C2500 van with the L30 Vortec 305, which had the integrated bellhousing and PWM, my tuner guy had no trouble getting it to play nice with an '01 4.8L, and I was using the 2075-RPM-stall torque converter from a '99 L35 S-Blazer 4x4.
