Disabling VATS

I'm putting an LS1/LS6 (LS1 engine with LS6 valley, Cam, springs, intake) into a Miata and was wondering if there was an effective way of killing vats.
I have an ECU from a 2000 Camaro (no key to measure resistance of). I also don't really want to purchase LS1Edit at this point. Wife is overwhelmed with costs enough without adding insult to injury.

Also is anyone aware of wiring diagrams for this PCM/CAR?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Sam.

I went to ebay and found a place called baker electronics selling Vats disable boxes. Easy to hook up, and only cost about $30.
Search for a guy named Magnus on this forum, he has alot of helpful wiring tables on his site, for the LS1, I dont know about the Miata wiring.
Good luck with the swap.
