Default Need help t56 1967 camaro

So I did a ton of research on this just cut a new shifter hole ya right😤. Ok here goes car is a 67 coupe I've had a built 5.3 in for years dumping the 3 speed auto for LS t56. Cut new hole b&m forward offset shifter works great. Now for the issue at hand I can't get a tailshaft angle any better than 3 degrees down with it smashed into the trans tunnel literally picking the car up off the lift WTF😤. So it's a mono leaf rear with track bars the rear pinion sits at 4 degrees down and I don't think I can shim it 8 degrees up. I have solid motor mounts 1" setback plates and a lot of sheet metal work ahead of me unless I am really missing something here. I have a CTSV pan that looks like it could go forward 1" but as it sits the is no way that is gonna help anything. To me it looks like 1/8 of the tranny would be sticking into the car to give me a zero degree angle. Part of me wants to say f it and see how bad the driveline vibe will be all f up.

There isn't anything wrong with 3 degrees down on the tailshaft.

4 degrees down on the rear is bad. I would worry about that more than the trans.

Everything I have read says with leaf springs 4 degrees down is good.

I think Holley makes mounts that will work. Motor is sitting too high

Is your pinion angle 4 degrees down, relative to the ground, or the driveshaft?

4 degrees down from driveshaft is normal, because it doesn't necessarily mean that the pinion itself is pointing down. If your pinion is actually pointing 4 degrees down, that could be a problem.
