I'd be weary personally. I"d prefer not buying a used converter unless I could see it personally and get exact specs and check the fluid for debris and color.

Depending on how good of a deal it is it'd be worth doing. Could be good for the engine depending on what cam is installed. I have no experience with Circle D but I bought a used converter of a competing brand, and they said I can send it in to get checked out for I believe it was $200 + shipping.
