I've only seen 2-wire sensors for the ECU side as well Andrew; but am wondering what type of signal the speedos want. My speedo is cable driven off the tranny -- so I don't have any direct experience. But seem to have almost set a record for multiple speed signals for different devices/reasons - analog cable for speedo, VR for ECU and Hall-effect for cruise control. LOL....

That's the first I've heard of this. Are the '10+ Camaro TR6060 VSSs putting out a square wave?

What did an "E38" come in? I'm led to believe mine out of 08 Corvette is an E38. If so it definitely takes a two wire/ sine wave input to the ecu....if the ecu needs a square wave that conversion must take place inside the ecu.

Seems like a lot of debate when you factor in that the PCM doesn't need the VSS sensor at all. The need to trick the PCM and read a separate VSS is mainly to prevent stalling when coasting to a stop in a manual trans, but since you have a TH350 that problem will be almost non existent, making the need for a VSS irrelevant. Since you have a working cable speedo, its even more irrelevant.

If the transmission is setup without engine braking, it might still be an issue. My TH400 is setup without engine braking in 2nd gear. I haven't had it stall yet though.

The problem I have is I can't do a case learn on mine without a functioning VSS and I'm stuck with a check engine light because of it.

Can't disable the DTC? Seems like it would be pretty simple.
Select non-electronic automatic in the drop-down under the trans tab in HPT.

I'll check again w/ the tuner, but I don't think that DTC can be disabled. Engine seems to be running okay without the caselearn but I'd like to get it working. My E38 was from a Silverado HD w/ LY6.
