LS3 Mod 49 Chevy Business coup
Been working to come up with something to meld in the bottom of the dash and the front of council, this will hold a double din stereo -A/C controls H/L ect. Next is to fill in the dash where old radio ,speaker was located. and try to figure out a stereo set up

Love the thread on your car, pretty much want to do same driveline in my 54 Sedan Delivery. Owned it over 40 yrs.still has the 401 Nailhead/400 THM that I installed around '78. I have a Heidt's MII set up, plan on Viking coilovers. I have installed 2 dr sedan doors (7" longer) and moved the B pillar back in the body, it really does wonders for the proportions, not to mention vision, ingress and egress. The slip yoke on the driveshaft is a good cure to the lack of one on the trans. If I could get some darned projects done for others, I could get going on mine! Anyway, just wanted to say nice job...that LS3 should make the old Stovebolt scoot, as well as be super reliable.

This week iv'e been working on finishing the rear arm rests and panel under the seat. The rear seat back folds forward , ended up being flat with the top of the arm rest, which worked out nice. Iv'e desided to go with JL Audio for speakers C3 6.5, 4 speakers, 2 in the kick panels, 2 in rear side panel under side windows. Right now it's Snowing like crazy---- forecast tonight -14 degrees , -34 for tomorrow night----- thanks to a good Modine heater the shop will stay nice and warm. This it kinda like winter is in Montana
Hi ltmontana,
Great project you’ve get there! And great fab skills!
I but a 5.3 and twin turbos in my ‘47 Sedan Delivery. I’ve been very pleased with it. You’ll Love that ls3!
Here’s a pic of mine, I had a build thread “Project Sudden Delivery” on here but I’m not sure if it still works now that photobucket wants $$$ for hosting.

Ltmontana, I’m just South if you in Sheridan, Wyoming. Maybe we’ll be able to meet up at a car show sometime in the future! I’ve been wanting to go to the red lodge one, or burn the point in Billings. But mostly stick to Wy and SD shows.
Finished fabing both kick panel speaker boxes, will need to warm up a bit before these can be fiber glassed, planing on covering the gas pedal ---- drive by wire pedal is rather ugly.
Next project is to flip the ft bumper up side down and move it aft so it lines up with the lower grill bar. Will need to be cut in several places to fit the right contour of the grill. Also removed the lower grill teeth under parking lights for a cleaner looking grill
Moving the bumper back will make the grill-bumper look a lot nicer, Thinking about frenching the head lights, not quite sure.. Had to cut and re fab all the bumper brackets, cut the bumper in 8 plus places to get it to fit.
