Checklist For Donor Engine Removal Hi all. I hit the sticky's up above but didn't really find what I was looking for. I've got an 01 Silverado I'm going to be pulling the engine and trans on for a swap into my 69 C10. I just wanted a rundown on all the other goodies to snag from this truck while I have it at the shop to rob. I'm going to pull all the A/C goodies (condenser/dryer/etc.), and I know to make sure to get the ECU/Harness etc. Is there anything that's not readily visible/apparent in the engine bay that I need to snag. Anything in the cabin that I need to rob while I'm at it as well??? The truck is complete and all together at the moment, just need to know from the experts what I might miss on my first go-around. Thanks all, can't wait to get started and join the ranks.
Take everything you have the time and room for.A few overlooked things that could come in handy whole or offer small pieces for fabrication:
frame brackets for motor mounts,crossmember,driveshafts
complete exhaust
fuel pump module,fuel,evap lines and fittings
throttle cable and pedal
hydroboost and lines if it has it

Any metric bolts you can find. Try to get heater hoses off intact or cut as close to the heater core as possible. Get the trans connectors, at the very least cut the wiring a few inches back so you can use the connector bodies. Get the shift select switch off the side of the trans.
