Default Caddy CTS-V LS-A swap

Greetings,

I have an opportunity to purchase the engine / trans / interior from a totaled 2014 CTS-V (drunk b-in-law), has anyone performed the swap into a '72 Z28? The car is an original 30K mileage vehicle, is it worth performing the swap, not interested in de-valuation, i don't plan on selling.

What are the pitfalls and challenges in doing so?

Also, who are reliable parts manufacturers of conversion kits?

Never seen anyone do a LSA swap into a different model vehicle, but I guarantee it will haul ***!! Im waiting to see someone swap one into a foxbody...with some good mods in a lightened car it shouldn't have any problem running 8s in the 1/4

There are several swaps that have been done with the LSA. They are not much different than any other LS swap. If you're worried about keeping the car original, then do another car. But then you say you are not going to be selling it, so who cares?

Holley makes excellent swap components for second gen f-bodies. Get their mounts, pan, headers, etc....and have fun doing burn outs.

Swaps been done hundreds of times already, I'm just finishing up on my LSA supercharged 6.0 LY6 with Tr6060 into an 2000S10 S10, I'm using a GM performance accessory drive http://www.karlperformanceparts.com/...o-AC/46137/115 It comes with everything needed except water pump and balancer. You can use a GM performance plug and play system to run it http://www.karlperformanceparts.com/...t-LSA/2359/113.
I'm using a Holley Dominator EFI setup in mine because it's going to be an on going project.
There are plenty of aftermarket swap systems for the oil pan/mounts/headers. I would buy a kit that's known to work together. Buying mounts from one person and headers oil pan from others doesn't always work the greatest.

Edit: GM performance offers different kits to work with different engine trans combinations so the one I linked may not be the exact one you need.

New rule, no more of posting pics of fox coupes with an lsx!!!! This is not helping me to not buy a coupe I've been after for years, I just hate the thought of driving it in the winter. And is it me, does the lsx fit better then the old 5l?

Thanks.

The fenderwells look like someone used a shotgun on them, I'd hate to have to smooth them out on a show car, It would be easier to start from scratch.
