Taurus Cooling Fan?
Real easy on electrical system.
The taurus fan WILL draw 100 amps on start up/inrush.
I saw the volvo fan after I bought the taurus fan and like the flaps in it as it will let more air through while at speed.
I'm retro fitting these to my fan. The taurus fan covers the whole core on my nova.

Have a Taurus fan on a carb'd motor controlled by a $40 derale controller with temp probe JB Welded into the radiator fins. Only hooked up the low speed setting, the car runs cool without the high speed. The 85 amp denso alternator seems to handle the load just fine.
And it's not like I'm afraid of PWM controllers, they have their place. I'm in the process of hooking a $20 chinee made ebay PWM controller to my oversized fuel pump to reduce the pump noise at idle. Might even hook an ebay pressure sensor to an arduino and program that to control the modulator. Serious overkill but might be a fun project to build from scratch.
IMO all that is needed is a relay and a mechanical temp switch. KISS. That way if something goes wrong out in the middle of nowhere you can jumper the switch and get the car home. If I had a stock PCM than using those outputs to actuate a relay is all that is needed.
