2009 LS GEN IV starting issue
Engine cranks, fuel pressure 55PSI, it will pop a bit and try to start with starting fluid.
I am getting a P0340 code (camshaft sensor). I replaced the sensor to no avail. Supply voltage to the sensor is 5V with key on, and shows 5V on the sensor wire too, with key on.
My first question, is will the engine start with this code and no cam sensor signal?
I have read a few places about "clearing a code", what do I need to do to accomplish this?
Also I do not have the brake signal hooked up yet, will the lack of this affect the engine starting? Will the ECM allow a start without the signal.
Thank you for any help.
I don't know about the Gen 4 ECUs...

These were reprogrammed by Painless Performance.
With help from Jason at Painless Performance, we figured out that the power wire and signal wire from the camshaft position sensor needed swapped. He said on that chassis, GM rolled those 2 wires in the last jumper section in the wire protector on the cam housing. So this cleared the P0340 code.
I now have no error codes. The engine will fire on starting fluid. I am not getting fuel. I have 55 LBS of fuel pressure at the fuel rails. I tested an injector on each side with a noid tester, and am not getting any pulse. I have 12V at the injector leads.
The check engine light is on during "run" and stays on during "Crank", showing 12V to the ECM in both states.
Any suggestions?
