Default Ls powered trucks

Alright I'm getting a little irritated. All i want to know is how to pair up a 4l80e to the fuel injected LSX 454 and what parts I need to do it. I've got a stand alone TCM and harness for the trans and I've got the engine, harness, and ecm. All i want to know is what torque converter, flex plate, and bellhousing I need. I'm leaving the engine as is (brand new), and I've rebuilt the 4l80 with the Alto red eagle rebuild kit. I just can't find the parts to mate the two. Oh and it's in a 94 K1500 ext. Cab shortbed

Look at the stickies in the Auto Trans forum

Not sure why you're asking about a bell housing for a 4L80, they don't come off unless you cut them off.

I used a Hughes flexplate (HP4004X-EBP) and FTI converter

Thanks guys, that's actually helpful. The TCM is an MSD stand alone system for the 4l80e, that way I don't have to run mechanical linkage on a carb. LSX. The FTI converter? Anything special I should look for part description wise

Call FTI and talk to them about your application and they'll recommend the right converter

Or when he gets irritated because he asks how to mate them together when they were mated together from the factory.

Okay I'm sorry I have an old truck that I'm putting a new engine and trans in. Pretty sure a 94 k1500 didn't come from the factory with an LSX

I picked up a 4l80e out of my buddy's 97 3/4 ton and rebuilt it, i didn't really know if there was an adapter or something I needed. But thanks for your glorious help in making me look like a jackass. I've never had a LS, never dealt with one, never even touched one. But thank you so much for not being a dick about how irritated I am, I'm kind of on a time crunch and needed answers.

you dont look like a jackass because of not knowing how some parts you bought go together. no one is born knowing that stuff, you gotta learn it just like everyone else.

nope you look like a jackass for joining a forum, having your first post be a question that could be easily googled and then getting pissy when it's not answered in an hour.

none of us caused your time crunch or put a gun to your head to do an LS swap. chill the **** out and read some FAQ stickies. do some googling and then come back with some thoughtful questions and ask them in a reasonable manner, not like a self-entitled 12 year old.
