LS1 swap Mazda rx8
Hey guys the engine is from a 2002 firebird. I'm running into some issues with this swap. First I'm so confused on what this sensor is on the front of the engine. It looks to be a cam or crank sensor, can anyone clarify of what's going on? I know the crank sensor is above the starter and the cam sensor is in the valley in the back behind the intake manifold. But what do we have going on here with this bracket holding this sensor. This swap utilizes an Emerald k6 ECU. We've wired everything up according to their specs and pin outs. The ignition system and injectors have been batched. Also, the plugs seem to not be getting spark. I remove the plug wire off the spark plug and visually look for a spark and I'm getting nothing. The ignition harness is getting 11.4-12 or so volts. The wires in the ignition coil harness are the ignition controls, a 12 volt reference, a ground and a low reference. (What exactly is a low reference?) All the wires are ran to the correct pins. Are there any sensors that can prevent the plugs from getting spark? Any input is appreciated, thank you
Edit. Im not familar with that ecu but i imagine it fires the coils and injectors from crank signal. Ive never seen a sensor mounted like that, im 100% its not gm. Maybe for some type of standalone ecu. Maybe some1 else can help you more

With factory pcms if its not firing the coils its prob not firing the injectors either, which means the pcm isnt seeing rpm. But thats not a gm pcm so its just a guess
