1990350 swap to 5.3 ls engine

1990350 swap to 5.3 ls engine I have a 1990 chevy c1500 with the 350 engine in it now. I am wanting more power out of my truck for towing the boat. Would a 5.3 be the best swap for my truck? or do you suggest a different swap?
Theres alot of varibles there. Just to tow a boat? How big is the boat? Manual or auto tranny? Do you want it fast too or just need gobs of torque for towing?
A LSx swap would help you tow more effiecient, but dont get hung up of 1 engine. A 4.8 will serve you just as well and will be a huge improvment over the 350.
The prefered swap however would be a 6.0 and 4l80e combo, would def pull your boat and have a bullet proof trans to boot.
You really cant go wrong imo with a LSx swap, but is it truly the best option? Idk and nobody can tell you whats best. Could just freshen the 350 and add a torquey cam. Soooooo many options, its up to you bro. Do what is gonna make you enjoy it

I'm swapping a 6.2L into my 1991 mainly for fun but also so when I tow my trailer I am able to keep up with highway speeds, that was not possible with the stock 4.3L. I have to agree with Lsxford that there really is no "best swap" but pretty much any LS will be an improvement over that 27 year old engine.
