Default 00 to 01 6.0l direct swap?

Hello, new member here. I have an 01 chevy 2500 hd with the aluminum head 6.0 liter. The block seems to be broken on the passenger side. I have another 6.0 from a 00 gmc 2500 and it has steel heads. Is it a direct swap or am i going to run into any surprises? They look the same to me but i figured i had better ask . Thanks!

The early 6.0 has the longer crank in it, But the 01 motor should have a spacer on the crank if its in front of a 4L80E. Other than that nothing I can think of will hold you up
