I've always had a need to be able to bend thicker metal for brackets here and there, but can't afford and don't have room for a press brake that can handle anything thicker than a couple sheets of paper. I came across this vise brake and ordered it last week. I am super impressed! It says it works for up to 14 ga, but I was able to nice bends in 1/8" thick x 1 1/4" wide carbon steel in my little vise.
I like it. I've been thinking how can I adapt that into my h-frame press. Probably just set it on some steel bars to span the gap.
The popular press brake dies for h frame presses are all the expensive ones and they are build for the Harbor Freight presses, which I don't have. I don't want to spend $200+ for DIY kit stuff built for something other than what I have. For only $28 I'll make it work.
