Default Help. Throttle body question

Im starting my first ls swap. I'm swapping ls2 from trailblazer ss to 1968 nova. I've picked up a zo6 intake with ls1 throttle body. Should I use this throttle body of the truck throttle body? I believe the truck one is larger, & seams to be simpler with only one electrical connector. Both are Drive by wire Thanks for any help.

I would use the throttle body that matches your harness. Much easier then trying to rewire and change the connectors for an LS1 throttle body. You can get a 3 bolt intake to 4 bolt throttle body adapter pretty cheap if it's needed.

Thanks. I'm going to have a new harness made when I figure all the details out. I was just wondering if one is better then the other? From what I've researched it looks to me like the trailblazer is larger. You have any suggestions on front accesory drive?

A 3 bolt vette tb needs a tac module also. the 4 bolt tbss doesnt.
Sometimes its just easier to go cable but depends on the harness. if you have the tbss harness youll need the pedal also and want to use the tbss tb but using an adapter plate to go from 4 bolt to 3 bolt is kinda working backwards imo. just get an ls2 intake.

Ok thanks for the info. I do have the pedal actually I bought the whole vehicle wrecked. I just bought zo6 intake. Thought that was the way to go. ?

Mixing and matching doesnt always work.
Get the ls2 intake, use the tbss tb and you wont have issues. they are cheap used on here BUT they do use a diff fuel rail also. so make sure to make arrangements for that.

We do have another option which arguably makes more power than the ls6 but has a 90mm opening for the tbss tb and uses the ls6 fuel rail. brand new. $400 for the intake. another option available that may get you everything you want really.

Really appreciate the help! Just a quick look on eBay showed ls2 intake, fuel rail ,& injectors. $460. Is tgat to much? What is the other option your talking about?

The other option we have is not a factory intake but a hybrid aftermarket FAST style intake for quite a bit less (obviously) than a FAST. Comes with the bolts and valley cover bolts and gaskets etc. The ls2 intake has to use an ls2 fuel rail. Our intake can use either actually ls1/6 or ls2.
So far testing has shown it to flow more than the ls6 intake and therefore more than the ls2 also.

$420 does seem like a good price complete though for the ls2. im not mucb for endorsing buying off ebay though or myself buying off ebay either.

Ok I'll have to give this some thought. I guess I jumped the gun on zo6 intake. I'm also looking to upgrade cam while motors out. Just looking for a well mannered, nice sounding street cam. Any suggestions?

Yessir!
Our high lift hot cam sounds pretty aggressive at idle, makes good hp and tq and is easy to drive. doesnt need a stall or gears even. easy to tune.

Thanks looks like just what I'm looking for. I want an air conditioned drive anywhere car that anyone can drive. I guess a pro touring type is what I want. You've been a great help! Do you own or work at this store?

Check into the Holley accessory drive system. I like it much better then the kwik and dirty dingo setups and it can be used with any spacing with the right adapters.

Thanks. I've been looking at that set up. Would like to see it on a motor,& hear some feed back. I want to be sure it fits under my 2968 nova stock hood with aftermarket a/c.

The cam kit i listed above. Pn is ws6lchc The intake is not listed yet, you would have to call sales. We are working in listing it soon but we have so many new products/updates its in line.

Wow! Nice job! What alternator, power steering etc. you use? Is that just a full kit from like summit or kegs? What a/c are you planning on using?
