Default Ly6 6.0 to th350 HELP!

I have a ly6 6.0 and I知 trying to mate it with a th350. I have the shim that slides into the back of my crankshaft and I知 running a dished 5.3 flexplate. Their is still space between the torque converter and flexplate.

well from the looks of it, the shim may not be machined deep enough. Or the snout on the converter is too long. You sure that converter was not built for a LS motor? If it was it would have a longer snout and would not need the spacer.

when I remove the shim and put the torque converter up to the fly wheel the snout sets inside of the crank shaft about 1/4 an inch. I guess I am going to have to get the transmission slid onto the motor and see where how it looks then..

That’s funny though. I seen your tags, (guess that’s what they are) but that’s what this motor and transmission is going into. 1984 c10.
