This is my old mans 55 we just completed a swap in. She's a LS1/4l60e I'll list some of the more important swap parts. Iat's want come bellow 117 on an 80 degree day so we're waiting on parts to get outside air from the drivers side fenderwell. Actually went together pretty nice and easy just takes some time to keep everything looking good. Someday I'll start taking pics during the build. The pitman arm does contact the drivers header limiting it to about 3/4's of the turn radius. Might try the speedway arm it seems to be recommended for a lot of headers for the tri-5's. But it doesn't bother normal drivin just tight parking lots. Any questions just ask.

Thanks guys. The motor has Cartek ported 243's. 240/242 cam backed by a Performabuilt lvl 2 with a Ptc 4000 stall. Along with the reclaimed door bar I've also got some reclaimed road signs in there to hold the tranny coolers and fans. There's even a dab of JB quick in one spot, love that stuff for a permanent lock tight and seal. Can't remember what brand speedo box he got but but it was a simple hook up and we got it within 3-4 mph at 65mph on our 3rd calibration try so that was good enough for us. I'll try and get some more pics of everything.
Trans cooler shots through the gill and can kinda see how they are mounted. Got a piece of 1" x 2" angle secured down through 2 grill bolts on bottom then some 1" strips of road sigh up and bolted on under side of upper grill support.

We started with a nice car so can't take credit for that. From pulling it into garage to pulling it out for the driveline swap was just under 3 weeks. I had 2 different set of fbody headers and a set of fox swap headers already and of course none of them worked so we had to wait on the c10 swap headers. Lost a fri-tue for waiting on driveshaft to be shortened, wanted it so I hade the right angles for the driveline and to make crossmeber out of the way of the exhaust. Tuns out I didn't have to wait because the easiest/simplest way to do cross member was the best option for everything else to. It had a msd6a box in it before and I actually have less wiring exposed under the hood now. The real patience award goes to the old man for keeping all that **** shiny.
I suppose I didn't put to much thought into the title of the thread. I'm thinking you guys restored the whole dam car! Ive had the flu since Thursday so mental capacity is crap. Almost back to good. Regardless, nice job on the swap! Really dig the old mans ride! I'd feel gawd awful beating on that thing! Assuming it won't be his psycho therapy like my truck is to me tho, He's probably learned a few things or two in his time!
Thanks guys. For those familiar with the tri5's you know the front end is sealed off real good only letting air into the engine bay through the radiator. Well I didn't think it would be as bad as it is but at 65mph my iat's are in the low 120's. So now I've got everything to move air filter to drivers fender well. Also picked up a nice set Edelbrock coil covers so as soon as snow fly's we'll pull her in for those 2 items and possibly bucket seats.
Very nice setup there. Actually looked at the vented hood support and gabbing up a air pan. But everything looks so simple and clean under the hood I didn't want to add anything in there. I don't anticipate it flowing the best but on his little 275 20" tires more power isn't what he needs. Been looking at Calvert's ormaking my own. Spring pockets and a mini tub would be ideal but I'm having a hard time saying let's cut it up.
