Default 2006 gmc 5.3 lm7 swapped to 2004 tahoe 5.3 lm7

I have a 2006 GMC sierra 1500 with a 5.3 LM7 VIN T. It has 216k miles and is leaking just about everywhere. I have found a used 2004 Chevy Tahoe 5.3 VIN T. It has 84k miles and was just pulled. I am planning on pulling my motor to swap. Is there anything I should know about the swap, is it straight forward? I plan on having my motor rebuilt over the winter and will swap back after that. I just want to know if there is anything that I should know before starting this project. Thanks!!

Should be a straight swap. I wouldn't even change back.

+1. Only reason to change back is if your rebuild includes 3.9" bore and 4" stroke. Used 5.3 is great for a good long time
