I designed as much tire clearance into the design of the Hooker A-body exhaust systems as the constraints of the stock fuel tank would allow. I would imagine that would also have a similar impact on shock/coil-over clearance.

I have the system and this fall I just installed borla pro xs mufflers to replace the hooker ones. The complaint with the hooker mufflers is they got stupid loud under mild acceleration. The Borla the noise is much more linear and not a on off switch like the hookers

Having had hooker mufflers before that was sort of a concern for me as well. They are huge, but I really like the SuperTurbo mufflers I have now, as they are loud enough to be heard but not to the point of it being rednecky (the cutout will handle that). Some of those Black Widow mufflers that people seem to be running a lot of lately sound good, but I'm not sure I could handle that level of noise constantly, especially if leaving for work at 430. A muffler-delete option in the Hooker package would be ideal.

Thanks for providing feedback guys, I do take it with me and report it up to the Product Management team for future product development ideas.

Grey86hatch, can you share which specific Hooker Blackheart system you used and what the engine/trans combination was that you used it with? Detailed information such as that will help me to better quantify the information that I report up the chain at Holley.
